How Can 1-2-3 Witness Impact the Church?
For church leaders, 1-2-3 Witness is an opportunity to: 1. Bring salvation to the lost 2. Foster obedience to the Lord and His Word 3. Promote Church growth through members of the local Church witnessing in the community 4. Strengthen individual believers through hearing the witness of others 5. Strengthen each individual’s own faith by learning, organizing and taking ownership of the story of his or her own salvation 6. Help many believers to overcome the fear of witnessing through developing and practicing their individual testimony in a peer group setting 7. Provide times of fellowship in the Lord while developing and strengthening relationships with one another 8. Strengthen members to stand up and tell their testimony to the Church 9. Encourage Church members to learn more about who they are in Christ 10. Encourage Church members to a more active evangelism 11. Strengthen the whole Church through witnesses given during Church services, in bulletins, newsletters, audio and video tapes, local newspapers, TV and radio 12. Provide opportunities for members to bring their neighbors or friends to Church 13. Help in the development of Church leaders 14. Provide a church-wide opportunity for minimum commitment with maximum participation. That is, a lot of church members can be involved in the seminar on both the team and as participants for one or just a few day’s commitment
For believers, the 1-2-3 Witness Seminar is an opportunity to: 1. Discover the joy of organizing and setting to writing their personal witness 2. Discover the freedom and confidence to share their faith in Jesus Christ with others 3. Discover what the Lord has done in the lives of other believers 4. Discover just how many witnesses they have of how the Lord has changed them 5. Discover how to organize their thoughts and experiences 6. Learn how to communicate better with others 7. Share in a time of friendship, discovery and fellowship 8. Spend an inexpensive time among friends

"I can't let people get up to witness in the main Sunday service!" Many Pastors have said they would love to have encouraging, short witnesses on a regular basis in their services, but they have learned it is very hard for members of the congregation to stay on topic, keep it short, focus on the Lord, and so on. So, many pastors have decided that it is better to keep witnessing in a Sunday service to a minimum. However, we know from scriptures like Hebrews 3:13 that we are to build one another up. Testimonies build us all up. It is partcularly important when we feel that God is silent in our lives, to hear how the Lord is working today in love and mercy and power. We believe that witness training can pave the way to make witnessing a regular part of our worship. Encouraging One Another Sometimes we forget the power of witnessing to encourage the faithful. The witness of God's power to change lives has been a tremendous encouragment, a source of strength, conviction and a means of grace to many of us. Scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Hebrews 3:13, 10:25 commend us to encourage one another. In a seminar in 2006 a women responded to our question, "What responsibility do we have in witnessing to believers?"by asking, "Why would we ever witness to believers?" The answer, of course, is to encourage one another. A number of clergy have lamented that the time constraints of their church service or the lack of focus and clarity in member's testimonies prevent them from having more witnesses during church services. For submitted believers who have been trained in a 1-2-3 Witness Seminar, a Pastor can ask for a 100-200 word witness and get a testimony that is both focused and clear.
